What is the best and cheapest way to travel to Santarini in the Spring? ?
My husband and I only have three weeks to spend in Europe, and only one of four of our stops is Santarini. I am having trouble finding a way to go to Santarini without spending multiple days traveling to just get there. Any help is much appreciated!
Getting to the islands is done easiest by taking ferries. If you didn’t want to loose any precious exploration days traveling (from Athens/Piraeus it takes about 9 hours to Get To Santorini) take the over night ferry (don’t worry about purchasing ‘airseat’ tickets or anything like that – buy deck tickets, which are the cheapest, and set yourself inside in the lounge area where there are couches, coffees, etc. Its not worth paying 10 euros more just to sit in a seat when you get a couch for free) and you’ll get some sleep – and arrive at your destination.
