Santorini – Autumn holidays?
I would like to go to Santorini in October. How is the weather at this period of time? In which area should I stay? I don’t drive, so I would like to be reasonably close to shops and beaches. Any recommendations regarding accommodation?

I love Santorini. Never been in October, but I expect it will still be nice, perhaps not beach weather.
I personally love Oia, for the views, sunsets, restuarants. But the beach towns are nice too, perhaps very quiet that time of year.
Shopping will be best in Thira, but you can get a bus from anywhere on the island, so a rental is not a requirement.
